Arthur Paul McMains

Arthur Paul McMains, 72, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at his home in Truxton, Ariz., with Mary Lou, his wife of 56 years, at his side. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7.

Arthur is survived by three brothers, Jim, Charles, and Richard; eight children, Starla Edwards, Darla McPherson, Sharon Phillips, Terri Eggers, Paula Slaughter, Clay McMains, Dorothy Winters, and Paul McMains, Jr. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a very large extended family.

Paul moved to Prescott in 1972, where he founded McMains & Sons excavation. He retired from business in 1995 and lived with Mary Lou in Chino Valley, Flagstaff, and Truxton, Ariz.

A celebration of Paul's life will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Word of Life Assembly in Chino Valley. Graveside services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.

Paul was a man of great faith. He loved God, his family and this country. He will be missed until we meet again.

Mabel Grace Wymore

Mabel Grace Wymore, age 88, passed away January 10, 2007, in Cottonwood, Ariz. She was born May 18, 1918, in Fremont, Iowa.

Mabel is survived by her husband of 66 years, Raymond Wymore, of Prescott Valley, Ariz. Mabel is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Annie Wymore; grandchildren, Danette, Debbie, Danny, Richard and Robert; and six great-grandchildren.

Mabel's family will always remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mabel was also a devoted Christian.

Visitation was Monday, January 15, 2007, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sunrise Funeral Home Visitation Room. Commemoration services in honor of Mabel will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at the

Sunrise Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Al James officiating. Burial will be after the service at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz.

Rosalie "Rosie" Barreas Rivera

Rosalie "Rosie" Barreas Rivera, 66, born July 18, 1940, in Springerville, Ariz., went to be with the Lord Jan. 11, 2007.

Rosie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Jesse Rivera, Sr. of Prescott; and children Henry, Jesse Jr., Joe and Michelle. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren, Roxy, Elisha, Kristin, Bryan, Ashley, Darick, J.J., Alejandro, Angelica, and Gerardo; great-grandchildren Lexy, Ismael, Ajrian, Nicholas, Nathan, and Miya; stepchildren Jesse, James, Joyce, and their children; surviving siblings Pauline, Jan, Felix, Terry and Dyana, all of Prescott; and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. Rosie will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, with Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez, Prescott, Arizona. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fluery, Prescott, with committal service at IOOF Cemetery.

Wayne Rucker (Ruck)

Wayne Rucker (Ruck), born December 21, 1934, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away very peacefully January 11, 2007.

He loved his family and friends and was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Stancek, Tina Rudy and Jacqueline Hittle; granddaughters, Carrie Lumpert, Yvette Sandoval, Aundrellia Simpson; grandsons, Kodi and Geoffrey Hittle; great-grandchildren, Rheanna Lumpert, Araceli and Roman Sandoval and Lukas Simpson; his brothers and sisters in Ohio; and many more loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Margaret Rucker; and his beloved son, Jefferey Dean Rucker.

Services will be Saturday, January 20, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Hilltop Church in Bagdad, Arizona.

Ellen M. Payne

Ellen M. Payne, 96, of Prescott, born Oct. 22, 1910, in Elyria, Ohio, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Prescott Samaritan Village.

Memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at First Congregational Church of Prescott.

James Levi Adams

James Levi Adams, 71, of Cordes Lakes, born July 12, 1935, in Carthage, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at the Carl Hayden VA Medical Center in Phoenix.

Private cremation at Bradshaw Crematory with Full Military Honors at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix at a later date.

Richard William Cummelin

Richard William Cummelin, 89, of Prescott, born May 22, 1917, in Minneapolis, Minn., died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at Samaritan Village in Prescott.
