Obituary: Marion W. "Bill" Jaggi
Marion W. "Bill" Jaggi went to be with the Lord on Aug. 23, 2007, at the age of 88. Born to William Joseph and Florine Grace (Emerson) Jaggi in Columbus, Paa. He was a Prescott resident and businessman since 1965. Bill married Roberta O. Ross on Aug. 17, 1938. The couple celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary last week.
Together they had three daughters, Clarice (John) Maloney, Carol (Jerry) Mumford and Phyllis (Neil) Cornell; grandchildren John P. Maloney, William Maloney, Michael Maloney, Jackie Curl, Chad Cornell, Jason Cornell, April Mumford O'Dell, Andrew
Mumford and Matthew Mumford, who preceded him in passing; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and extended family members. He was much loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
As a young man, Bill served in the National Guard in Pennsylvania. The couple started their businesses, Prescott Vacuum and Prescott Clock Shop, in 1965. Bill was a master clockmaker who loved to work with his hands and could repair most anything. He loved to sing and he performed with the Prescottones Barbershop Chorus for years. He was a member of Prescott United Methodist Church.
A celebration of his life is at 3 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at the Agape Hall at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St., Prescott. The Rev. Carol Mumford will preside.
Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
