Child of the Week: August 10
Child of the Week is a regular feature in The Daily Courier in cooperation with Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters, which provided the information about this week's "Little."
BBBS presently has hundreds of children waiting for
adults to step forward and be mentors.
"He likes being silly and goofing around, the classic class clown," Griffith's mom says. He's a fifth grader at Lincoln Elementary School who loves drawing pictures and has won awards for his artwork. Whenever possible he builds things out of Legos and pitches in on any building projects in progress.
Griffith especially enjoyed playing paintball at a Big Brothers Big Sisters summer outing and always looks forward to going out and doing things with other people. He's an active boy, outgoing and likable; however, he lacks a suitable role model. Who will help this "good kid" grow to become a "good man?"
Some of Griffith's current activities include trampoline, biking and riding a scooter, but his softer side includes a love of cats and of music. His favorite performers are "Bowling for Soup." With well-rounded interests and a happy face, Griffith would make a great Little Brother.
