PVPD searches for men in residential neighborhood

PRESCOTT VALLEY - A pursuit of two vehicles led to the arrest of one motorist Friday afternoon.

However, the driver of the other vehicle, a black sedan, managed to evade arrest by both the Arizona Department of Public Safety and Prescott Valley Police as of 2:20 p.m., said Jennifer Miller, a public information office for the police.

The unidentified driver tried to strike a police sergeant's vehicle and struck an occupied vehicle in the Manzanita Circle area.

"We are looking for the individuals in the black sedan," said Miller, who was on the scene.

Miller said DPS officers arrested the pickup motorist earlier after the driver abandoned the vehicle at Cocopah Drive and tried to flee on foot with a passenger. Prescott Valley officers also were on the scene.

The pursuit started at about 10 a.m. when DPS notified Prescott Valley police about the two vehicles driving recklessly toward Prescott Valley on Highway 89A, Miller said.
