Ultralight plane crash kills 2
Two men died after an ultra-light plane crashed at about 10:30 a.m. Monday west of Paulden near the Big Chino Road and Pilots Rest Airstrip. David Arthur Pelletier, 68, of Prescott and Michael Francis Maikowski, 54, of Kent, Wash., died at the scene, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO). The plane crashed in the open area of a residential yard; no one on the ground was hurt. Witnesses said the plane had been flying around the area all morning before it crashed. YCSO has notified the Federal Aviation Administration and they will be investigating the crash.
