Frederick R. Riedel

Frederick R. Riedel, of Dewey, Ariz., formerly of Brookfield and Coloma, Wis., passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006.

Fred served as a 2nd Lieutenant with the 446th Bombardier Group in WWII. He was a POW during part of his service. Fred graduated from Purdue University as an electrical engineer. He retired from AC Electronics. For many years after that, he and his wife, Arlyne, owned and operated Coloma Camperland in Coloma, Wis. They commuted between Wisconsin and Arizona for 15 years and were finally able to fully retire to Dewey in 1993. Fred was active in his church.

He is survived by his wife, Arlyne; children, Nancy Guitguiten and Donna Lentz; grandchildren, Curt and Eric Lentz and Carlen Guitguiten; brother, Herbert and sister, June Bliese.

Services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on Friday, May 5, 2006, at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his name to Ex-POW's or VFW.

Helen Lewis

Helen Lewis, 96, of Prescott, died April 29, 2006, at the Samaritan Village in Prescott. She was born August 16, 1909, in Munson, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex. Helen is survived by her daughter, Shirley (George) Sheatz; son, John (Betty) Yeoman; six grandchildren, Dave, Pat, Denise, Brian, Brad and Karen; nine great-grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Alexis, Madison, Jordan, Dillon, Brandon, David and Kim.

A memorial service will be held Saturday May 6, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz.

She was a lovely lady and will be sorely missed by all.

Lois Barwick Owen, 96, of Prescott, born April 10, 1910, died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at Mountain View Manor in Prescott.

Service will take place at a later date.

Jeanette Lee Hoffman, 46, born July 12, 1959, in Melrose Park, Ill., died Monday, May 1, 2006, in Camp Verde.

Service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at Solid Rock Church in Sedona.

Walter Williams Sacher, 63, of Cottonwood, born April 13, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, in Prescott.

No services are planned at this time.
