Prescott Police, PANT combine in marijuana arrest
Prescott police aided Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) in arresting an alleged marijuana dealer Jan. 11, police reported.
Acting on a tip, three police officers showed up at 5:30 p.m. that day at the trailer of Kevin McClary, 43, in the 1400 block of Iron Springs Road, the report stated.
"I don't think I want you in my house," McClary reportedly said when the officers arrived.
A PANT detective told McClary that he saw a marijuana pipe and bong on the kitchen table, the report continued. The officers also questioned a visitor who told them that he paid McClary $30 for a baggie containing marijuana.
McClary granted permission for police to search the premises, and they recovered $435 in cash and 7.5 pounds of marijuana valued at $5,500, according to the report.
Cops arrest Prescott High School student
Prescott police arrested a 16-year-old student Thursday at Prescott High School on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine, according to a report.
Police arrived on the campus at 1 p.m. after a security guard relayed a tip from a silent witness that the boy carried meth in his shoes or wallet, the report continued. The boy removed his shoes and emptied his wallet, where police retrieved meth from a plastic container.
The boy told police that he bought the drugs for $10 from a friend in Phoenix, the report stated. Police booked him in the Yavapai County Juvenile Detention Center.
Man under arrest on suspicion of possession
Prescott police arrested a 45-year-old Prescott man early Saturday morning on suspicion of possession of marijuana after they took a call about a man yelling profanities and throwing rocks onto a road.
Police initially contacted Duane Martin Black shortly before midnight Friday outside a convenience store in the 500 block of Copper Basin Road, the report continued. A store employee said the suspect tried to leave the premises without paying for beer.
Police followed Black to his home in the 1200 block of White Spar Road and handcuffed him on his bed when he resisted, the report said. Inside the jail, police found a plastic baggie with marijuana that Black had concealed inside a sock.
Fight complaint leads to amarijuana arrest
Prescott police, responding to a complaint of men fighting at a hotel, arrested a 25-year-old Buckeye man Thursday night on suspicion of possessing a marijuana pipe, according to a report.
Police arrived at 10:20 p.m. at the hotel in the 4400 block of Highway 69, and entered the room where Ian Michael Davis was staying, the report stated. The suspect's 20-year-old brother notified police of the pipe, atop a television set, and told them that he bought it for the suspect.
Man fires shots in residence on Ruth Street
Prescott Police officers booked Randall Lee Bunkers, 22, of Prescott into the Yavapai County Jail early Sunday morning on charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm and disorderly conduct per domestic violence.
According to the police report, at 3:35 a.m. officers were called to the 900 block of Ruth Street in reference to shots fired inside a residence.
When officers arrived at the scene, Bunker met them outside the house. He initially reported that no shots were fired and he had set off fireworks. Officers located a Hi-Point .40-caliber pistol in the residence.
Officers noticed an alleged bullet hole in a screen door and found a .40-caliber shell casing on the floor.
Two other people at the residence allegedly heard an argument in the living room and someone attempting to take a gun away from Bunker. The two allegedly heard a gun shot from the living room.
According to the report, Bunker allegedly said he would tell the police he had set off firecrackers.
The incident is still being investigated.
