Florence Juanita Godby, age 77, died January 7, 2006. She was born Oct. 27, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Earnest Earl and Mary Emmaline (Currence) Yoakum.

Florence is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Donald and Roger; daughters, Mary Neff, Sheila A. Rizzo, and Deborah Kutcha. Florence was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Pamela.

Commemoration services in honor of Florence will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday Jan. 20, at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetary San Diego, Calif.

Arrangements were entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.

Margaret Kelley, 82, of Wickenburg, went to be with the Lord, January 9, 2006.

She is survived by her two daughters, Donna and Shiryl; three sons, Ricky, Billy and Bobby; one brother, Johnny; two grandchildren, Valerie and Brandy; and four great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed gardening, dancing, and spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed and loved by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, with a service Friday 11:00 a.m. Jan. 13, at Glendale Christian Church, 59th Ave and Olive, Glendale.

The Lord called Irving “Irv” Setterberg home Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, after a long illness. The highly respected and successful founder of Setterberg Jewelers in Arizona, passed away at the Prescott Valley Samaritan Nursing Home.

Irv was an avid hunter and golfer, born in Minnesota and graduated from Cokato High School. Irv’s parents were in the jewelry business and in 1946, Irv went to work and learn in his father’s store in Cokato, Minn.

In 1955, Irv and his wife, Mary, purchased the store from his dad, Walter. Irv was active in local civic clubs and state jewelry organizations. Irv joined Rotary in 1962 and is a Past President of Rotary. Mary and Irv sold their store to brother Wendell in 1968, and moved to Phoenix.

Phoenix jeweler Paul Johnson and Irv opened “Paul Johnson Jewelers” in Sun City in November of 1968. The population of Sun City was 12,000. In January of 1969, Irv joined the Sun City Rotary Club. He was president of the Sun Bowl Merchants Association for several terms and a member of the Northwest Valley Chamber. He was an American Gemological Society Registered Jeweler.

In 1974 Irv and Paul bought out “Jewels International” in the La Ronde Center, in Sun City.

In January 1981, Paul and Irv had a friendly “split”. Paul kept the La Ronde store and Irv and Mary retained the Sun Bow! Store. This was the first “Setterberg Jewelers” store in Sun City. Irv and Randy Anderson, of Dassel, Minn., were partners in a Setterberg store in Sun City West. Brother Wendell and Irv opened their Sun City Campana Square store in October of 1981.

Irv and Wendell are from a family of jewelers. Their father and two uncles, another brother, Roger and sister Betty are also in the business. Mary and Irv’s son Rick, and daughter, Marian are both Registered Jewelers in the American Gemological Society. Rick is the new owner of Setterberg’s in Sun City, purchased from cousin, Susie, and husband Tom Hafner.

Irv is survived by his son Rick (Sandy); daughter Marian (Frank) Tobin; grandchildren Brent (Kristi) George and Jason (Jennifer), Shannon and Micheal Setterberg. Great-grandchildren Makenna and Luke George, Hayden, Hunter and Gabrielle Setterberg. Brothers Wendell (Lois), and Roger (Shirley) Setterberg; sisters Mariann (Earle) Dickinson, Betty (Dave) Barnes; numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Irv was preceded in death by his parents and wife Mary Setterberg.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, at 1:00 p.m. at the Trinity Presbyterian Church. Pastor Mark Tilley will officiate.

Don Allen Tremper, 70, of Stoutland, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.

He was born May 26, 1935, in Evansville, Ind., to Tonini and H. Josephine Overbay Tremper, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Phyllis Tremper.

On July 24, 1954 Don married Mary B. Kelly of Yuma, where they both lived for several years.

Don worked in education for most of his life, as a teacher and counselor in Stoutland, and then in Waynesville Public Schools. He also lived in Prescott and Chino Valley, and worked in Prescott Public Schools.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Freudian Church of Christ near Montreal, where he served as an Elder.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; four sons, Stephen (Barbara) Tremper, of Woodbridge, Va., Tony Tremper, of Phoenix, John (Heather) Tremper, of Kansas City, Daniel (Lisa) Tremper, of Manassas, Va.; 11 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Amy, Christi, Leslie, Nich, Zach, Brianne, Natascha, Jessica, Megan, and Mekayla; a brother, Tom (Sue) Tremper, of Las Vegas; a sister, Jane Carter, of Tustin, Calif.; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Don A. Tremper were held Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Freedom Church of Christ, near Montreal. Charles Pitts officiated.

Joseph Michael “Joe” Lensink

In memory of a loving father, brother, uncle, husband, and friend. He will always be remembered as a loving, generous, straightforward man with a great sense of humor.

Joseph Michael “Joe” Lensink, 65, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006. Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2004, he accepted what life had dealt him and determined to live the rest of his life enjoying each day. Through this, he showed us not only how to live, but also how to die.

Joe was born on Nov. 19, 1940, in Morganza, La.

With his father in immigration services, Joe enjoyed traveling and growing up Louisiana, Alabama, Puerto Rico, and Ohio. After graduation, Joe worked on the ore boats on the Great Lakes, and then joined the U.S. Army in April of 1963. He trained for the Military Police and then served in Vietnam for 13 months as a door gunner where he was awarded several medals. Following his tour of duty, Joe was stationed in Panama where he completed his service in the armed forces.

Following military service, Joe moved to San Diego, Calif. where he worked for Pacific Telephone. He married the former Martha (Marty) Ashe in 1968, then transferred to Prescott in 1972, where he worked for the Telephone Company known as Qwest.

Joe was a devoted father to his son, Sean and daughter, Kelly. His greatest joy was being with the family on their many travels and camping trips taken over the years. He felt privileged to live long enough to see them get their education and grow into happy, successful adults.

More recently, Joe and Mary enjoyed traveling. Some of their favorite trips were to Ireland, Puerto Rico, Chile, and Hawaii.

Other interests included hunting and fishing with pals. Joe was active in the Prescott and Chino Valley United Methodist Churches. He and Marty were also very active in Marriage Encounter, serving in both local and state leadership positions. He was also active in the Emmaus community, another outreach of his Christian stewardship.

Survivors include his wife Marty, of Prescott; son Sean Lensink of Tucson; daughter, Kelly Lensink of Charlotte, NC.; a brother, Richard and his wife Kathy; sister Barbara Flinn and her husband Ed; and many other relatives and friends who have been very close to Joe and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lest and Dorothea (O’Neill) Lensink.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday Jan. 14, in the Prescott United Methodist Church, on 505 West Gurley Street, Prescott.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Hospice Family Care, 100 East Sheldon Street, Prescott, Ariz. 86301, of donor’s choice.

Margaret Otley, 84, of Prescott, born Nov. 7, 1921, in Salt Lake City, Utah, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, in Prescott.

Henry Lovell Brooks, 93, of Prescott, born Feb. 10, 1912, in Chippewa Falls, Wis., died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at the Prescott Veterans Administration Hospital.

A celebration of life service will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Chapel of the Valley in Prescott Valley.
