Cheryl Ann Tokarz, age 51, of Ash Fork, died Jan. 5, 2006, in Ash Fork.

Cheryl was born April 29, 1954, in Upland, Calif., to Franklin and Hazel (Sanderson) Van Horn.

Cheryl loved her family, her many animals, her vegetable and flower gardens. She was a true outdoor woman. She leaves behind many dear friends.

Cheryl is survived by her children, Kimberly Maurer, Dwois Brown and Paul Bennett; her mother and father Hazel Ellwood and Frank Van Horn; brother Gary Van Horn; grandchildren Chynna, Douglas, Amber, Dwois III, Detrick, Deven, Christian and Elizabeth; and best friend Marjorie. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steve and Tim.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 6 p.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home, 240 South Cortez St., Prescott.

The Hampton Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.

Patricia “Pat” Mared Jones went home to be with her Lord on Dec. 16, 2005. Pat was born to Edward B. and Mary E. Jones in Hackensack, N.J., on March 17, 1936. 

Pat served her country in the Air Force and later worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Pat was a pioneer in the FAA and one of the first women in management. She was not a person to back down or walk away from any problem or adventure. She traveled the world and made numerous lifelong friends. 

Pat had a lifelong love for flying. She also enjoyed participating in chili cook-offs. Her sense of humor permeated all aspects of her life. Her friends and e-mail companions always knew her as “Happy Pat.” Pat was also deeply committed to her church and to her Lord.

Pat was interred at the National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek, Arizona.  A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at 2 p.m.

Florence Juanita Godby, age 77, died Jan. 7, 2006. She was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Earnest Zearly and Mary Emmaline (Currence) Yoakum.

Florence is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Donald and Roger; and daughters, Mary Neff, Sheila A. Rizzo, and Deborah Kutcha. Florence was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Pamela.

Commemoration services in honor of Florence will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 20, at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery San Diego, Calif.

Arrangements were entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.

Fred J. English, 88, passed away at his home in Scottsdale Jan. 7, 2006.

Born on July 12, 1917, in Kankakee, Ill., he retired from farming twenty years ago and moved to Arizona, living in Prescott and Scottsdale.

Fred is survived by his wife, Sara; son, Joel; daughter-in-law, Cheryl; three grandchildren, Greg, Doug, and Jillian; and two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Morgan.

Private family services will be held at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, Scottsdale.

Genevieve Simms Horn, 80, of Prescott Valley, born Oct. 15, 1925, in Encampment, Wyo., died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, in Prescott Valley.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Bethel Baptist Church in Prescott Valley.

Henry A. Baer, 39, of Prescott, born Sept. 16, 1966, in Chicago, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at Mt. View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek Road, Prescott.

Irving L. Setterberg, 79, of Prescott, born Oct. 1, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Prescott Valley Samaritan Center.

Memorial service will be at 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Charles Jonathan Irion, 61, of Prescott Valley, born March 28, 1944, in Los Angeles, Calif., died Jan. 4, 2006, in Prescott.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at Rose Hills Mortuary in Whittier, Calif. Service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif.

Sharon Allee Speer, 55, of Dewey, born June 21, 1950, in Muskagee, Okla., died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, in Dewey.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel on the corner of Navajo and Valley roads in Prescott Valley. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service in the funeral home.

Patrick Joseph O’Donnell, 58, of Prescott Valley, born Oct. 11, 1947, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, in Prescott Valley.
