Dorothy Margaret Cooksey

Dorothy Margaret Cooksey, age 89, of Chino Valley, went home to be with The Lord, January 5th, 2006. She died in Prescott.

Dorothy was born in Palouse Wash., Sept. 25, 1916, to Robert and Ethel Frank Babb. She married Emmett "Bud" Cooksey who passed away in 1984. They were married for 49 years. They moved from Oregon to Arizona in 1958, and, Dorothy has called Chino Valley her home for the past 25 years.

Her life's devotion has been to her family, friends, and her church, but her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dorothy is survived by her three children, James A. Cooksey of Taylor Ridge, Ill., Loretta K. Krumbholz of Prescott, and Carol S. Esterak of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Hampton Funeral Home, in Prescott, on Thursday, Jan. 12, between 3 and 5 p.m.

Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, 3 p.m., at Grace Baptist Church in Chino Valley, with a reception immediately following in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church, in memory of Dorothy Cooksey, P.O. Box 125, Chino Valley, AZ 86323.

Dianne Hatch Higdon

Dianne Hatch Higdon, 62, of Prescott, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006.

She was born in Franklin, Va., to Walter and Eleanor Hatch.

A devoted wife and mother, Dianne will be greatly missed by lifelong friend and husband of 42 years, Louis; her sons, Richard (Eve) and Kevin; her sister Carolyn Chapman; and beloved nephew Matthew Sturdivant.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenny; a sister, Phyllis; and infant daughters Stacey and Sheryl.

Dianne grew up and attended Tate High School and Pensacola Junior College, in Pensacola, Fla. In January of 1968, she moved to Bloomington, Ill., where she lived for the next thirty-five years. Since becoming a resident of Prescott in 2003, Dianne has been active in Willow Hills First Southern Baptist Church.

Dianne exemplified courage, optimism, and hope, to her family and countless others.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, Jan 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott.

A memorial service will be at Heritage Memory Mortuary, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Park, Dewey.

The family expresses sincerest gratitude to everyone who ministered to Dianne's needs.

James Edwin Hulse, 76, of Prescott Valley, born May 10, 1929, in Shawnee, Okla., died Jan. 8, 2006, in Prescott Valley.
