Accidental fire nearly takes out D-H homes

Central Yavapai Fire District (CYFD) reserve firefighter Rory McPherson sprays hot spots on the almost five-acre fire in the 9000 block of Smoki Trail in Dewey-Humboldt Monday afternoon. According to CYFD spokesman Charlie Cook, the fire appeared to be an accident and resulted most likely from a resident sawing metal and sparks igniting the grass.
