Mary May Goswick

Mary May Goswick was born June 17, 1928. She is remembered as a vibrant, loving mother, grandmother, and friend. An RN and Nurse Practitioner, Mary lived in Tucson for 25 years. Mary lived in Prescott from 1960 to 1976, where she was an RN at local doctors’ offices and at the VA hospital. Mary passed away and went to be with the Lord on Feb. 7, 2006.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Katherine Bagnall (Kay) and son, John Goswick (Julie); sisters Betty Ortega and Shirley Park; and grandsons Jake and Tyler Goswick.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. at Bring Funeral Home, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson.

Henry Pierson Barnett

Henry Pierson Barnett, a retired Arizona miner, passed away Feb. 8, 2006. He was a resident of the Arizona Pioneers’ Home in Prescott, Ariz.

He is survived by three children: Bertha Brinias of Bellevue, Wash., Gloria Browne of Clarkdale, Ariz., and Armando Barnett of Sun City, Ariz.

No services are planned.

Ronald Lee Dunbar  

Ronald Lee Dunbar passed away at the age of 74 on Feb. 7, 2006, at around 8:20 a.m. in Mesquite, Nev.

He was born in Mesa, Ariz., on Nov. 21, 1931, to Robert Edwin Dunbar and Clista Mae Marler.

He is survived by two brothers, Gerald Dunbar and Warren Dunbar; four children, Carol Bonnett, Mark Dunbar, Janet French, and Roger Dunbar; and thirteen grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Perkinsville Road in Chino Valley, Ariz., at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, with a visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Relief Society Room.

Burial  will take place at the Chino Valley Cemetery following the service. Chino Valley Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Mary Joan Flickinger

Mary Joan Flickinger, 66, was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Feb. 6, 2006. 

She is survived by her four children, Rose (Jon) Wilson, Charlie Flickinger, John (Marlene) Flickinger and David (Charlene) Flickinger; and six grandchildren, Sarah and Christopher Wilson, Mercedes, Michael, and Bella Flickinger and Morgen Vest.

She is also survived by her brother Greg (Rochelle) Malinowski, and sister Sue Henry.

Mary Helen Smith

Mary Helen Smith, 87, of Prescott Valley went to be with the Lord on Feb. 7, 2006.

She was born in Kansas City, Mo., on Feb. 9, 1918. She moved to Arizona in 1954 with her four children. Her passion was to serve the Lord in many summer camp ministries, teaching Sunday school, elementary school in rural Arizona, and helping missionaries.

Mary received her reward for a long and faithful service to God, family, friends, and thousands of children.

Her passing is considered to be a joyous event and will be celebrated with a memorial service and time of fellowship to be held Saturday, Feb. 11th, at 4 p.m., at The Humboldt Bible Church, 2500 Old Black Canyon Highway, Humboldt, AZ 86329.

She is survived by Reverend Mike Smith (Sue), Chris Mullins (Larry), Wendy Diskin (Claude), and Greg Smith (Debbie); 12 grandchildren, and 22 and 2/3rds great-grandchildren. Numerous friends will also miss her humor and compassionate spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that any contributions be made in her memory to: The Building Fund, Humboldt Bible Church, P0. Box 296, Humboldt, AZ 86329.

Charles L. Pizzano

Charles L. Pizzano died on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at the Bob Stump V.A. Medical Center in Prescott. He was born Jan. 21, 1915, in Boston, Mass., the son of Duchino and Angelina (Picariello) Pizzano.

While Charles was serving in the Armed Forces as a Sergeant and stationed at CBI (China/Burma/India), he wrote a non-published book called “Call of the Khaki.” Charles worked for Old Mr. Boston in making the “proof” for vodka.

Charles is survived by his loving and caring wife, Rose, of Prescott Valley.

Services in Boston will take place at a later date. A private cremation was held at the Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

The Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.

Morris Wayne Scoggins

Morris Wayne Scoggins died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz.  He was born Sept. 21, 1956, in Phoenix, Ariz., the son of Floyd Lee and Lillian Viola (Goodwin) Scoggins.

Morris worked as a foreman for a fence company in the Prescott area and loved the outdoors.

He is survived by Dawn, his companion of over 14 years; children, Morris Andrew Wayne Scoggins of Prescott, Ariz., Jelena Ann and (Chad) Craft of Mich., Kara Lynn and (Troy) Guitar of Laughlin, Nev.,  and Aeron Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; brothers, Floyd and (Brenda) Scoggins of Mesa, Ariz., John Scoggins of Tempe, Ariz., Jerry and (Karen) Scoggins of Phoenix, Ariz., Billy and (Angie) Scoggins of Phoenix, Ariz., Bobby Scoggins of Phoenix, Ariz., and Larry Scoggins of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Sharon Wurst of Phoenix, Ariz., Linda and (Allen) Shelton of Gilbert, Ariz., and Viola and (Jack) Wright of Phoenix, Ariz.

Morris is also survived by his mother, Lillian Scoggins, of Gilbert, Ariz., and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Celebration of Morris’ Life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, also in the funeral home.

Marguerite Rose Reynolds, 88, of Prescott, born Oct. 21, 1917, in Smithfield, Pa., died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at a local care home.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at The Salvation Army Chapel with a memorial service following at 10 a.m.

It was Marguerite’s request that memorials be made to The Salvation Army, 237 S. Montezuma St., Prescott, AZ 86303

David Stacey Hanna, 71, of Prescott Valley, born July 31, 1934, in Des Moines, Iowa, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at the VA hospital in Prescott.

No services are planned.

Shaun Dominick Gingerich, 19, of Prescott Valley, born Dec. 20, 1986, in Phoenix, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, in Prescott Valley.

Celebration of Shaun’s Life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. A private cremation will take place at the Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.
