Eileen F. Blockinger

Eileen F. Blockinger died Feb. 17, 2006, in Prescott. She was born July 3, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Herman and Pearl (Burgess) Wille. Eileen was 73 years old.

Eileen and her husband Roy moved to Prescott in 1993 from San Jose, Calif. Eileen loved to travel and really enjoyed her cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean and especially through the Panama Canal. She and Roy also traveled to England, Scotland and Europe. She liked to knit, crochet and play bridge and enjoyed the girls' lunches out. Eileen had been an active member of the Lloyd Roe Adult Center, serving as president.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roy; her sons, Timothy (Mary) and Mark, both of California; sister Deloris (Kurt) Granlund; brother Robert (Marge) Wille; and grandchildren Hayley and Andrea.

A gathering of friends and reception will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15, with a tribute to Eileen at 3 p.m. at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez, Prescott.

Richard Guy Hamilton

Richard Guy Hamilton, 79, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, in Virginia. He was born June 5, 1927, in Bisbee, Ariz., the son of Edwin and Esther (Beedle) Hamilton.

Richard served his country during World War II and was honorably discharged. Richard married the love of his life, Helen Anderson on August 16, 1950. Helen preceded Richard in death.

Richard moved to Prescott in 1986 from California and later moved to Virginia in 2005 to be with his daughter, Carla Briceno. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, as well as hunting and fishing. Richard was proud of his family and their accomplishments, as well as his longtime marriage.

Richard is survived by daughters, Carol Lynn Penso of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Carla Briceno of Virginia; brother William (Pat) Hamilton of Colbert, Wash. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole, Andres, Sofia and Blake.

A Celebration of Richard's life will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton Streets in Prescott. Graveside will follow at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
