Sheriff detectives seek information about stabbing in Paulden
Local sheriff detectives are asking the public’s help in finding a person or persons who stabbed an unidentified Paulden man this past Thursday at about 7:45 p.m.
Someone stabbed the man in the abdomen; the incident happened on West Rio Trail in Paulden. A medical crew took him by helicopter to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix where hospital staff listed him in critical condition. Deputies describe the man described as being in his mid-20s.
Yavapai County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer Susan Quayle said that the victim has been uncooperative with authorities and has not yet given them information about his identification
Quayle also said anyone with information about the stabbing should contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau at (928) 771-3278.
In other police news, a Chino Valley man went to jail this past Wednesday on drug charges and a charge of driving on a suspended license after Chino Valley police conducted a traffic stop.
Police stopped Christopher Alan Hellin, 29, at about 10 p.m., then Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office assisted Chino police with a Drug Recognition Evaluation on Hellin, confirmed Hellin which showed him to be under the influence of marijuana.
Police found that Hellin drove on a suspended driver’s license and that Hellin showed signs and symptoms of impairment.
Officers found marijuana on Hellen, and said he admitted to them that he smoked marijuana daily.
Police charged Hellen with Possession of Marijuana, DUI/Drugs, Aggravated DUI/Suspended License, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
