Carl "Biddie" Davis

Carl "Biddie" Davis died June 7, 2005, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. He was born May 27, 1937, in Great Bend, Kan., the son of Clarence A. and Mildred (Wheeler) Davis. Carl was 68 years old.

Biddie, as he was affectionately known, was the smallest of twin boys, hence the nickname. The family moved to the Prescott area in 1939. His love of trains started as a boy when he watched the trains go by from the front yard in Kirkland. He loved camping and fishing, especially at the Verde River in Perkinsville. Carl enjoyed woodworking, the Christmas holiday, riding the quads with his family and tinkering with his trucks.

Carl is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elsie; his sons, Carl Jr. of Centerville, Tenn., and Casey (Ashley) of Chino Valley; daughters, Sarah Balcomb of Chino Valley and Christine Davis of Phoenix; and seven grandchildren. Biddie was preceded in death by "Big" Clarence, his twin brother, and Stephanie, his granddaughter.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 13, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez, with a celebration of Carl's life at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Mountain View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek Road.

Emily Louise Walsh

Emily Louise Walsh, of Louisville, Colo., passed away peacefully on May 5, 2005, due to a brain hemorrhage at the age of 75.

The daughter of Harold Strom and Magdalen "Peggy" Lindenberg, she was born on Dec. 5, 1929, in Minneapolis, Minn. She graduated from San Pedro High in California in 1948. She married George Walsh in 1952 and they were divorced in 1975. She lived most of her life in Anaheim, Calif., where she worked for ExpoTek. She attended Calvary Church in Anaheim, Calif. She moved to Prescott Valley in 1996 and to Louisville, Colo., in 1999.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Walsh and daughter-in-law, Karen Walsh; grandchildren, April Walsh, Nathan Walsh and Alexander Walsh of Chandler; by her son, Brian Walsh of Port Charles, Wash.; and by her stepdaughter, Terri Somers of Costa Mesa, Calif. Others include four sisters, a brother, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews that will all miss her greatly.

"Emmy Lou" loved to read, sew, crochet, paint and watch movies.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3950 Valorie, Prescott Valley, on Saturday, June 11, at 10 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, Calif., on Monday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m.

Mary Alice Burns, 93, of Prescott, born Feb. 28, 1912, in Amboy, Minn., died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at the Margaret T. Morris Center in Prescott.

Services will be held in Minnesota.

Doris Patricia Taylor, 84, born June 12, 1920, in Spokane, Wash., died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at the Prescott Valley Samaritan Center. Visitation will be Monday, June 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel in Prescott Valley. A scripture rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Celebration of Life funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at St. Germaine Catholic Church, 7997 E. Dana Road, Prescott Valley.

Final Commendation and Farewell will follow at 2 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

The family suggests contributions in her name to Northern Arizona Alzheimer's Association, 225 Grove Ave., Suite B, Prescott, AZ 86301.

F. Isabelle Fowler, 89, born Aug. 23, 1915, in Shamokin, Pa., died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. Memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday June 13, at the Prescott Community Church.

Barbara Ann DeBono, 74, born Dec. 24, 1930, in Grand Forks, N.D., died Monday, June 6, 2005, in Prescott Valley. Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Chino Valley.

Dorothy Jean Langham, 80, of Prescott, born Sept. 13, 1924, in Sean, Kan., died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, in Prescott.

Services will be at a later date. Cremation will be private.
