Thomas W. McCracken

Thomas W. McCracken, formerly of Bagdad, born March 9, 1930, to Dan and Essie McCracken, passed away at his home in Valentine, Ariz., May 24, 2005.

Tom served 25 years active duty in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Mst. Sgt. in 1976. He then taught high school for 11 years in Bagdad before retiring to Valentine.

He is survived by his wife, Iola; three sons, Robin (Pam) of Topeka, Kan., John (Linda) of Valentine, and Tom (Ellen) of Tucson; and six grandchildren, Dan and Neill of Tucson, and Brandon, Amanda, Emily and Amy Sue of Valentine; also two sisters, Mackie Mayes and Aileen Parmenter of Springdale, Ark.

Kenneth John Madziarek Sr., 63, of Peeples Valley, born June 2, 1941, in Chicago, Ill., died Monday, May 30, 2005, in Sun City.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kirkland Branch, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Genung Memorial Park in Peeples Valley.

Norma Jo Miner, 72, of Prescott, born July 26, 1932, in Phoenix, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, in Prescott.

Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. The family will hold a memorial celebration of Norma's life at a later date.

Ruth D. Thirkield, 92, born Aug. 7, 1912, in Indianapolis, Ind., died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at her home in Prescott.
