Elna "Joyce" Davis

Elna "Joyce" Davis died April 25, 2005, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. She was born Oct. 19, 1926, in New York, the daughter of Paul and Marian (Ward) Johnson. Joyce was 78 years old.

Joyce married John Davis in December of 1946. Together they owned and operated the Paul Johnson Garage for 48 years, located at 35th Avenue and McDowell.

She enjoyed camping and traveling with their trailer. She was an active member of the Nazarene church in Phoenix. She was most proud of her family. She loved and doted for her grand and great-grandkids.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 58 years, John, of Chino Valley; son, Bob (Sharon) of Prescott; daughter, Carol (Randal) Kuskie of Milan, N.M.; granddaughters, Deana (John), Elaine (Todd) and Christel (Van); great-grandchildren, Kayla, Shane, Christopher, Taylene, Austin, Dalton and Wyatt; and her sister, Aileen Axley of Dolan Springs, Ariz.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30th, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren in Phoenix.

George Elmo Smith

George Elmo Smith, companion for nearly 66 years in this life's journey, with his wife, Nancy, passed away Friday evening, April 15, 2005.

Maca, as his family lovingly called him, spent his entire life in the education of young men and women in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. As an ordained minister, he spent his last years writing and encouraging men in prison.

His wife, Nancy, a daughter, Kathy, a son, Ernie, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild survive him. Three brothers preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Prescott Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2980 Willow Creek Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Yavapai Regional Medical Center Hospice Care who cared so lovingly for George in his last days.

The Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

LeRae Spera

LeRae Spera, age 44, of Prescott, passed away April 24, 2005. She grew up in Lake Arrowhead and attended University High School. LeRae married Anthony Spera in 1985.

Survivors include her husband; the loves of her life were her four sons, Nicholas, Jeremy, Christopher and Joshua; her mother and stepfather, Trudy and Stephan Shore; sister, Elizabeth Taylor; and stepbrother, Daniel Shore.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29th, at 7 p.m., at The Heights Church, 2121 Larry Caldwell Dr., Prescott.

George L. Campos, 74, of Prescott, born Oct. 26, 1930, in Honolulu, Hawaii, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, in Prescott.

Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Richard DeTore, C.M.F., officiating. Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Full military honors will be provided by Post 6 of the American Legion.

Geraldine Nelson Gorsage, 73, of Cordes Lakes, born June 2, 1931, in Florence, Ariz., died Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in Prescott.

Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, at First Southern Baptist Church, 20172 Pinto Drive, Cordes Lakes, with graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Valley Memorial Park, 6894 E. Highway 287, Coolidge, Ariz.

Hubert Maurice Finney, 85, of Prescott, born July 14, 1919, in York, Neb., died Monday, April 25, 2005, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.

Private cremation will take place at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley, with a private graveside service at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix.
