Tammy Lee Reece, age 46, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at her home surrounded by her loved ones in Chino Valley. Tammy was born Jan. 8, 1959, in Compton, Calif., the daughter of Mrs. Gloria L. Woodroof of La Mirada, Calif. and Mr. Frank Clark of Chino Valley.

Tammy married her best friend, Mr. Vance Reece in 1978. They had a son, Dwayne and daughter, Gidget. After Tammy and Vance divorced, Tammy moved to Chino Valley with her children in Aug. 2000.

Tammy was an active member of the First Southern Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and her Womens Bible Study group.

Tammy found a lump on her breast in Nov. 2000, and had a mastectomy in Jan. 2001, followed by chemo and radiation therapy. In 2003, her cancer metastasized. Over the last two years as Tammy bravely battled her cancer, her concerns were not of herself, but rather about her children and loved ones.
