New road ordinance on board's agenda
The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors will consider the adoption or Road Ordinance 2005-1 during a hearing today. Road Ordinance 2005-1 would supersede Road Ordinance 1995-1.
The board created the road ordinance to establish a uniform county road system including acquisition, maintenance and construction for all public roads under the jurisdiction of the county. The first official road ordinance was adopted March 13, 1995.
Public Works department officials and the supervisors reviewed the 1995 ordinance at a study session Jan. 25.
The supervisors are also scheduled to enter an executive session for legal advice regarding the Verde Valley Senior Center project.
The Board of Supervisors meets in the supervisor's hearing room at the Yavapai County Administrative Services Building located at 1015 Fair St., in Prescott.
