Bradshaw Mountain gears up for Homecoming activities this week

Wednesday's Western Day honors The Duke. Each class selected a favorite film to inspire them for Thursday's Class Movie Day: Grease for Seniors, Wizard of Oz – Juniors, Pirates of the Caribbean – sophomores, Austin Powers – Freshman, and Harry Potter for staff members.

This will get them "fired" up for the evening's Powder Puff football game at 6:30 on the football field between the senior and junior girls (admission $2) and the bonfire next to the high school afterward. Student Council will sponsor a "Grill Out" meal for $3 before the girls'game.

Friday is Spirit Day. BMHS supporters should wear red and black to show their school pride. The Homecoming parade begins at 4:30 p.m. The route takes participants down Long Look Drive to the high school. The Homecoming game starts at 7 p.m. The queen and king will receive their crowns during halftime.

Candidates for queen include: Dani Adkins, Krystle Van Deusen, Sarah Lopez, Heather Cappelli and Chelsea Webster. King candidates are: Josh Trevillian, Lance Jacobs, Tyler "Boomer" Schnepf, Sean Lerette and Logan Chilton.

The king and queen will reign over the Homecoming dance, Saturday at 8 p.m. in the BMHS auxiliary gym. Tickets are $15/couple or $8/single in advance, or, at the door, $18/couple, $10/single.
