Lovin' the lathe

PRESCOTT – The students in Tom Bockman's woodshop class at Prescott High School (PHS) have learned that nature can take many forms, and when it comes to working with raw, beautiful pieces of wood, they can do anything they want, especially with a little help from the lathe.

Bockman said the class, which spends most of the semester making miniature rolltop desks, is learning from a few members of the Prescott Wood Turners how to make wooden pens and pencils.
