A decade old … and going strong!
PRESCOTT – Eighty-five percent of restaurants in America fail within the first three years of business, according to Roxane Nielsen, citing industry experts.
She and her husband, John, apparently defied those odds for their restaurant, the Prescott Brewing Co. They opened the establishment March 15, 1994, inside the Bashford Courts building at 130 W. Gurley St., two months after moving to Prescott from Felton, Calif.
Prescott Brewing Co. observed its 10th anniversary a week ago with a "mad hatters party" that featured a live band.
Asked how they bucked the trend, Roxanne cited a simple, no-nonsense formula.
