Friday, July 2

• The 63rd annual Kiwanis Kiddie Day Parade takes place at 8:30 a.m. along Cortez Street between City Hall and the Post Office. Call 445-8700 or 445-2000 for more information.

• Rodeo events begin at 7:30 p.m.

• The Frontier Days Rodeo Dance with the Canyon Walls Band takes place at the M&I parking lot (303 N. Montezuma St.), from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $5. Call 1-866-40-RODEO for more information.

• The CASA Senior Center (9360 E. Manzanita Circle) presents a Holiday Dinner/Dance with live country music by "Mirage." Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door. Call 772-3337 for information.

Saturday, July 3

• The Men's Club of First Congregational Church hosts its 48th annual pancake breakfast at the intersection of Alarcon and Gurley streets, before the parade. Cost is $4 per person, kids 6 and younger eat for free.

• The annual Prescott Frontier Days Parade takes place at 9 a.m. at the courthouse plaza. The theme is "American Pride" and is dedicated to all of the soldiers, police and firefighters who protect us now and have protected us in the past.

• The Frontier Days Fine Arts & Crafts Show, showcasing the works of some of the finest artists in the Southwest, takes place at the courthouse plaza from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• The Whiskey Row Boot Race takes place immediately after the parade at the courthouse plaza.

• The ninth annual Build Your Own Ice Cream Social will be 1-3 p.m. at the Adult Center of Prescott (335 E. Aubrey St.). There will be live music by vocalist Charleah Allen and the Buddy Mack Trio. Call 778-3000 for more information.

• Rodeo events begin at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m.

• The Hipsters perform Dixieland music at 2 p.m. at the courthouse plaza.

• The Fireman Hose Cart Races take place on Cortez Street at 9 a.m.

• Night Shift performs at 1 p.m. at the courthouse plaza.

• Rodeo events begin at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m.

• The Navajo Nation Band performs at 3:30 p.m. at the courthouse plaza.

• The City of Prescott Parks and Recreation Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration begins at 4 p.m. with food, vendors, crafts, water slide, carnival games and rides, pony rides, paint ball and lots of entertainment, at Pioneer Park (1200 Commerce Drive). All-day activities cost $10. Fireworks viewing is free. Call 777-1122 for more information.

• The Prescott Valley Fourth of July celebration takes place at Mountain Valley Park (8600 East Nace) beginning at 5 p.m. Musical groups include Cash Daily (5 p.m.) and Limbs Akimbo (8 p.m.). Admission is free. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Call 775-3162.

• The Chino Valley Parks & Recreation Department presents an old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration from 4 to 9:30 p.m. at the Old Home Manor baseball fields (off Perkinsville Road). The musical group Catch will perform country and classic rock. Activities will include a barbecue, beer garden, and games for the kids. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Call 636-9780.
