PRESCOTT – Authorities arrested two Prescott men Tuesday night on attempted homicide charges in connection with a hit-and-run accident Monday night that left another Prescott man critically injured.
According to Prescott Police Sgt. Mike Kabbel, detectives arrested the driver, Elliot Lee Patrick, 19, and a passenger, Kenneth Allen Roser, 19, after family members provided information regarding the suspects and the vehicle. Police questioned both men and confirmed they were in that area the night of the accident. Both men and the vehicle matched the description that witnesses provided.
The victim, Norberto Gonzalez, reportedly was walking home from work at around 11 p.m. when a pickup truck struck him in the
600 block of South Montezuma Street. The vehicle left the scene of the accident.
Emergency personnel took the victim to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for treatment and later they airlifted him to a Phoenix hospital. Kabbel said he remains in critical condition.
• A 36-year-old Prescott Valley woman was hurt Wednesday in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley.
Prescott Valley Police Lt. P.J. Janik said that around 6:15 p.m. the driver, Elizabeth Brennan, was southbound when she drove off the west side of the road. She lost control of her vehicle when she tried to correct her movement, and the vehicle rolled over four times, Janik said.
Emergency personnel took Brennan to Yavapai Regional Medical Center after they treated her at the scene. Janik said that she was not wearing a seatbelt. Her condition was not available at press time.
The accident remains under investigation, Janik said.
