He said the car driver and a passenger didn't suffer any injuries. The motorcycle had significant damage, he added.
• A 40-year-old Prescott man suffered significant injuries Saturday morning when he performed an emergency/crash landing of his experimental plane in a Paulden field.
According to Yavapai County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Sharon Wachter, the plane took off from Prescott to Seligman and on his way back the pilot experienced mechanical problems. She said he performed an emergency crash landing behind a Chino Valley Fire District (CVFD) station in Paulden.
CVFD Capt. Mark Ducote said the pilot exited the plane on his own, but he suffered a few abrasions and apparently a significant back injury. Ducote said that after emergency personnel took him to Yavapai Regional Medical Center for treatment, he went to a Phoenix hospital to have back surgery.
Wachter said that in November 2002 this man performed another emergency landing. She said that his Ultra Light aircraft lost power and he landed in a field west of the Prescott airport.
