The Prescott Chamber Players Society gives its free winter concert at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St.
The concert will include music from Schubert, Ibert, Telemann, Bizet, Berlioz, Bach, Scott Joplin, and others using a variety of ensemble groups: duos, trios and quartets with strings, woodwinds, piano, harpsichord and harp.
Prescott musicians founded the Prescott Chamber Players Society in 1997 to promote chamber music (music suited for performance in a room or small concert hall for fewer than 10 solo instruments).
The society meets monthly during the academic year in members' homes to perform chamber music and provide information about the composer and the work.
Its 40 musician members also perform in such groups as the Central Arizona Concert Band, the Prescott Strings, Yavapai College bands, orchestra, Master Chorale, Summer Pops, Prescott Fine Arts music groups and others.
