The 2003 Yavapai County 4-H/FFA Expo Show and Livestock Auction will be April 24-26 at the Yavapai County Fairgrounds Event Center.
April 24 events will spotlight the goat, dairy, beef and sheep shows, and April 25 will focus on small stock, swine, horse and dog shows, Round Robin showmanship, and Clover Kid activities. At 11 a.m. April 26 will be a barbecue, with the 4-H/FFA auction at noon.
Exhibitors bring their project animals to Expo for judging, grading and to sell them. Many 4-H and FFA exhibitors use the proceeds from the sale of their project toward future projects and/or to save for extended goals such as a college education. The 4-H/FFA auction is the climax of the year's project activities for the exhibitors, as a learning and business venture. 4-H and FFA exhibitors have selected, fed, and groomed their project animals with the culmination of this sale in mind. Blue ribbon small stock breeding animals will be offered through silent auction at the discretion of the owners.
