PRESCOTT – Two people reportedly held a Tennessee woman at gunpoint and stole more than $4,000 from her early this morning in Prescott.
According to Prescott Police Sgt. Mike Kabbel, 42-year-old Candice Dodson left the Yavapai Casino at 1:45 a.m. and was traveling north on Highway 89 when she realized she had a flat tire. She reportedly told police that when she got out of the vehicle to look at the tire at the intersection of Industrial Way and Highway 89, two men in a dark, two-door car stopped near her.
Kabbel said Dodson reported that one of the men pointed a gun at her and forced her to pour the contents of her purse onto the seat of her car. He then reportedly stole $4,100 in cash from her.
She told police that the suspects left the scene and traveled north on Highway 89. She described the person who allegedly held her at gunpoint as a white man, in his 30s, weighing approximately 180 pounds and 6 feet tall. There is no available description of the man who drove the vehicle.
