Billie Welch won the Second Flight low gross with an 86, while Gayle Maisonneuve's 66 was low net. Third Flight winners were Gert Wiederholt (92) low gross and Diane Leis (68) low net. Taking top honors in the Fourth Flight was Gladys Dalen (102) low gross and Mary Balance (67) low net. EX-NFL PLAYER TO HOLD "SPEED" CAMP
SIX-TIME SUPER BOWL SPEED-DEMON Don Beebe will bring his "House of Speed" camp to Prescott March 18-19. Beebe, one of the fastest receivers in NFL history, also welcomes male and female athletes from other sports to the camp. The camp will be split into two sessions, morning for kids 10-14 and afternoon for those 15 and up. ROUGHRIDER CLUB LEAGUES
THE YAVAPAI COLLEGE ROUGHRIDER CLUB is sponsoring its annual Roughrider Girls' Volleyball league for kids ages 8-12. Players meet Tuesday evenings beginning March 5 and ending April 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The league is coached by YC women's players with close supervision from head coach Faye Matsumoto. Cost is $50 per player or $35 for Roughrider Club members.
THE ROUGHRIDER CLUB is also putting on its annual Indoor Youth Soccer League for boys and girls 10-12. Playes meet Wednesday nights from March 13 to May 1 with game times set for 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. An organizational meeting is scheduled March 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the YC gym. TENNIS LEAGUE SIGNUPS
SIGNUPS FOR USA ADULT & SENIOR TENNIS LEAGUES are underway in the Prescott and Northern Arizona area. The USA Leagues are comprised of two age categories for men and women, 50 and over for the Senior League and 18 and over for the Adult League. It is also broken into numerous ability levels so you are playing in competitive matches. Teams in the following ability levels for men and women are available: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5. (Beginners to advanced players.)
A meeting for additional information and sign up will be held at the Roughrider Tennis Center this Saturday, Feb. 9 at noon. To participate, you need to be (or become) a USTA member, have a NTRP rating (which you can get on Saturday) and pay the league fee of $20.
