George William Dunnington
George William Dunnington, 81, a 12-year resident of Prescott, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, in Prescott.
He was born July 22, 1920, in Climbing Hill, Iowa, to Clifford and Viola (Lyons) Dunnington.
Mr. Dunnington served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a prisoner of war.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator, and was a pilot who loved to travel. He also enjoyed boating and tennis.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; daughter, Jacklyn Putzier of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His son, Michael, preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Manor, 1045 Sandretto Drive, Prescott.

Lloyd George Sampson Sr.
Lloyd George Sampson Sr., 85, a former resident of Mayer, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, at the Harlan County Hospital in Alma, Neb.
He was born April 16, 1916, in Delta, Utah, to George Alma and Irene (Lloyd) Sampson.
He married Virginia Belle Jones on April 3, 1943, in Littleton, Colo.
He resided in Mayer from 1966 until 1991.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Sheryl Arnett of Mesa; sons, Lloyd Jr. of Page and Gregory of Flagstaff; brothers, Duane of Salt Lake City, Utah, Donald of Albuquerque, N.M., James of Delta, Utah, and Kenneth of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sisters, Delma Burke of Tacoma, Wash., Geneal Bean of Koosharem, Utah, Donna Prince of New Harmony, Utah, and Helen Anderson of Oak City, Utah; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Phillipsburg, Kan. Burial will be at the Orleans Cemetery in Orleans, Neb.

Elliott George Popovich
Elliott George Popovich, 87, of Prescott, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, at his daughter's home in Prescott.
He was born April 20, 1914, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Sam and Dorothy (Milokovich) Popovich.
Mr. Popovich grew up in Ambridge, Pa., and graduated from high school there. He served in the U.S. Army for 30 years during World War II and the Korean War.
He married Doris Irene Cole on Nov. 17, 1943. He worked in records management for the Federal Civil Service, and retired in 1975.
Mr. Popovich moved to Prescott from Hampton, Va., in 1976. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf, and his family knew him as a loving father and grandfather.
Surviving are his daughter, Katherine Anderson of Prescott; sons, George of Cape Coral, Fla., and Stephen of Manteca, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
His wife preceded him in death on Feb. 7, 1990.
There will be a private family memorial time.
The family suggests memorial contributions in honor of Mr. Popovich to Hospice Family Care, 100 E. Sheldon St., Prescott, AZ 86301.

Esther Jane Watt
Esther Jane Watt, 71, of Prescott, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, in Prescott Valley.
She was born April 22, 1930, in Correctionville, Iowa, to Lester Otto and Grace Ellen (Fullerton) Schulke.
Mrs. Watt had lived in Arizona for 32 years, and in Prescott for four years.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Gene; daughters, Sharon Barton of Flagstaff, Linda of La Crescenta, Calif., and Lori Lindsay of Prescott; son, Michael of Peoria; mother, of Correctionville, Iowa; brother, Eugene Schulke of Storm Lake, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memory Chapel, 131 Grove Ave., with Chaplain Gerald Beilstein officiating.
Visitation will be at Memory Chapel one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott.

Kelby Ann Eicholtz
Kelby Ann Eicholtz, infant daughter of Robert and Kay (Irish) Eicholtz of Prescott, died Thursday, Aug. 9, following her birth earlier that day at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.
In addition to her parents, Kelby is survived by her grandparents, Bob and Jane Eicholtz of Destin, Fla., and Lois Mizell of Quartzsite; brothers, Kirby and Kody of Prescott; and sisters, Kelsey, Kacie, Kylie and Kassidy Eicholtz, all of Prescott.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott, with Pastor Ty Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.
