Harry Kirby Smith
Harry Kirby Smith, 70, of Wilhoit, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.
He was born Jan. 6, 1931, in Phoenix, to Harry Kirby and Lillian Lucille (Russell) Smith.
Mr. Smith graduated from Long Beach Poly in California. He was an automobile and recreational vehicle salesman for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the Bass Master Association, and enjoyed bass fishing, hunting and woodwork. He also enjoyed working on his home and helping others.
Surviving are his daughters, Karla Petz of Simi Valley, Calif., and Sandra Elliott of Alameda, Calif.; son, Ken of Huntington Beach, Calif.; brother, Bud of Cottonwood; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
There will be private services.
Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements.
Gladys Irene Williams
Gladys Irene Williams, 98, of Prescott, died Friday, July 13, 2001, in Prescott.
She was born Feb. 8, 1903, in Nevada, Iowa, to William and Cleo (Dean) Gretsinger.
Mrs. Williams moved to the Phoenix area in 1961 and to Prescott in 1974. She enjoyed baseball, gardening, music and dogs.
Surviving are her son, Dean of Fort Dodge, Iowa; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Clifford, preceded her in death in 1972.
Services were today at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott.
Memory Chapel helped the family with arrangements.
Shirley McCammond Smith
Shirley McCammond Smith, 65, died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at her home in Dewey.
She was born Oct. 1, 1935, in England, to Graham and Peggy Marsh.
She worked in the cafeteria at the Washington Public School District in Phoenix for many years, and enjoyed knitting, collecting coins and dogs. Her family will remember her as a loving mother and wife.
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Henry of Dewey; daughters, Michele Farmer of Phoenix, Dawn Smith of Walker and Eve Ligon of Page; sons, Steve McCammond of Tucson and Bryon and Michael McCammond, both of Phoenix; brother, Richard Marsh of England; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the family's home, 600 S. Highway 69, Dewey. Jim Cunningham will officiate.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2017, Prescott, AZ 86302.

Mary L. Maurin
Mary L. Maurin, 94, of Prescott, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, at Mountain View Manor in Prescott.
She was born July 13, 1907, in Kokomo, Ind., to Robert M. and Maude May (Morrow) Whitlatch.
Mrs. Maurin was a lifelong member of full gospel churches, where she was always active. She enjoyed studying the Bible, crocheting and being involved with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters, Nellie Harris of Chino Valley and Billie Lambert of Show Low; son, David of The Dalles, Ore.; brother, Marion Whitlatch of Gaston, Ore.; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Cortez at Carleton streets, Prescott. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Concluding services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Show Low City Cemetery.
