Dora Lena Presnall

Dora Lena Presnall, 83, of Prescott, died Friday, June 22, 2001, in Prescott.

She was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Jacksboro, Texas, to Otha and Stacy (Clifton) Dodson.

Mrs. Presnall was a 40-year resident of Arizona who had lived in Prescott the last four years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Prescott.

Surviving are her sons, Ray of Mesa, Larry of Prescott and John of Asheboro, N.C.; sisters, Margaret Burch of Flagstaff and Bertha Compton of Jacksboro, Texas; six grandchild-ren and seven great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Faires O. Presnall, preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1998.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memory Chapel, 131 Grove Ave., with Pastor Don Hooton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Josephine L. DeHesse

Josephine L. DeHesse, 71, of Wilhoit, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at her mother's home in Wilhoit.

She was born Dec. 19, 1929, in Flagstaff, to Jefferson and Mona (Lane) Johnson.

Mrs. DeHesse was a librarian for the Kirkland Elementary School in Kirkland for 12 years and served on the Kirkland School District board for 12 years. She co-created and distributed the Rural Directory, was a member of the Kirkland Women's Club, Southern Yavapai Fire Ladies Auxiliary, Friends of the Cathy Prentice Memorial Library and the Wilhoit Chamber of Commerce, and was active with the Skull Valley and Sharlot Hall museums. She enjoyed reading.

She had lived in Yavapai County since 1940 and in Wilhoit since 1974.

Survivors include her mother, Mona Warfield of Wilhoit; daughter, Ruth Babcock of Wilhoit; son, Robert Contreras of Chino Valley; sister, Roni Harper of Chino Valley; brother, J.P. Johnson of Kelly's Island, Ohio; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Edward King, in 1948.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the Kirkland Community Center in Kirkland.
