Stroll through the Prescott Resort's lobby, beginning Saturday, and enjoy all the sights and smells of the holidays at the Ninth Annual Gingerbread Village.
The Grand opening of the village is from 10 am. to 2 p.m. that day. Carolers will perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as the LGB train threads through the gingerbread creations. Hot chocolate, cider and cookies will be available to snack on while touring the village.
Gingerbread men will also join the village after school children have decorated them on one of their field trips.
Every year the resort's pastry department bakes more than 3,000 gingerbread men for people to decorate and purchase.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and every Saturday through Dec. 15, children of all ages can decorate gingerbread men.
All donations from the purchase of gingerbread lots and gingerbread men benefit Yavapai County Big Brothers/ Big Sisters.
The Prescott Resort is at 1500 Highway 69, Prescott.
