Christa Burroughs
Christa Burroughs, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at her home in Prescott.
She was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Germany.
Mrs. Burroughs moved to Prescott from Wheaton, Ill., in 1981. Her family knew her as someone who touched many lives and was loved dearly.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas; four children and seven grandchildren.
There will be services in Illinois at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Parkinson Disease Foundation, "For Research," 710 W. 168th St., New York, NY 10032-9982.
Hampton Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements.
Ellen Ingerson
Ellen Ingerson, 73, of Prescott, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, in Prescott.
She was born Sept. 6, 1927, in Ravenna, Neb., to Otto and Meta (Heins) Gruber.
Mrs. Ingerson graduated from the nurse cadet corps at St. Francis School of Nursing and received her R.N. degree in 1948. She was a nurse for more than 37 years.
A lifelong member of the Lutheran faith, she was active in missions and ministries of American Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prescott. She was a volunteer and officer for 20 years in the Community Cup-board, and also volunteered with the Fraternal Organization of Aid Association for Lutherans and their many helping hand projects.
Surviving are her daughters, Dena Jones and Kristine Foster, both of Prescott, and Cheryl Dietzel of Tucson; sons, Andrew of Tucson and Stephen of Minnesota; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at American Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Pastor Daniel Storvick officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lutheran School, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott, AZ 86301, or Yavapai Regional Medical Center Hospice, 3262 N. Windsong, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
Memory Chapel Mortuary helped the family with arrangements.
James O. "Pat" Patterson
James O. "Pat" Patterson, 74, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at his home in Chino Valley.
He was born July 24, 1926, in Gilmer, Texas, to Walter and Kate (Petty) Patterson.
Mr. Patterson served in the U.S. Army in World War II. He moved to Chino Valley from Carlsbad, N.M., 39 years ago.
He worked for the Cyprus (Phelps Dodge) copper mine in Bagdad for 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, LaVerne; daughters, LaVania Ward of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Denna Petty of Chino Valley; sons, Pat Walker of Las Vegas, Nev., and Greg of Chino Valley; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Southern Baptist Church of Chino Valley. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Pastor Mark Reeder officiating.
Burial will follow at the Chino Valley Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Chino Valley Cemetery, 372 Westwood, Chino Valley, AZ 86323.
