MEN'S ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE

A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION for adult baseball players from ages 18 to 29 is being formed now. All league games are played locally, all players receive Hardball magazine, regional tournaments are held in nearby cities and national tournaments are held in Arizona and in Florida. All interested players must attend a draft workout scheduled for June 10 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Bradshaw Mountain Middle School baseball field. For more information call Rob at 636-6734.

MILE HIGH BASEBALL SCHOOL

THE MILE HIGH BASEBALL SCHOOL will hold its day camps June 11-14 with 5- to 12-year-olds running from 8:30 a.m.-11 a.m. and 13-year-olds and up running from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Instruction will be given by Yavapai College baseball coaches and staff as well as three Major League Baseball scouts. GOLF RESULTS

EVEN HOLES WITH HALF HANDICAP counted in 18 Holers ladies day competition at Prescott Golf and Country Club resulting in a three-way tie for first place in A Flight between Colleen Renner, Marge Simpson and Mary Snowden. Vicki Davis won B Flight ahead of Marlaine White in second and Lorraine Lease in third. Joann Keihle was tops in C Flight with Jane Neville second and Jehre Holtzclaw third. D Flight leader was Goldie Bianconi with Barbara Johnson in second and Sharon Smith in third. Pat McIntyre was closest to the pin on number 12.

SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS AT BMHS

SUMMER CAMPS BEGIN AT BRADSHAW MOUNTAIN High School the week of June 4. Here's the camp schedules: Baseball, June 4-7 (ages 8-12, 13-15); July 9-12 (ages 8-12); July 9-13 (ages 13-15). Spirit Line, June 4-8 (grades 3-5 and 6-8); Football, July 16-20 (ages 5-12); Girls and Boys Basketball, June 4-8 (grades 4-5 and 6-8); Soccer, July 16-20 (ages 7-10, and 11-15); Softball, June 18-21 (ages 8-13); Track & Field, June 25-29 (ages 5-15); Volleyball, June 11-14 (grades 4-6, 7-9); June 18-21 (grades 4-6, 7-9); Wrestling, June 18-21 (grades 4-8). BRADSHAW MTN. SHRINE GOLF TOURNEY

THE BRADSHAW MTN. SHRINE CLUB will hold its Third Annual Golf Tournament scheduled for July 7 at Antelope Hills Golf Course. Tourney proceeds will benefit the community through Shrine charities. THE PRESCOTT JAMMIN' 14 AND UNDER softball team is looking for girls with pitching and other positions experience who are interested in playing competitive softball for the spring, summer and fall. SPRING COED SOFTBALL TOURNEY IN CHINO VALLEY

THE CV REC DEPARTMENT will host the double elimination softball tourney June 2-3. Registration begins May 30. Cost is $100 per team, with team trophies given to the top three finishing teams. For more information call 636-9780.

3 VS. 3 SOCCER SIGNUPS

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the summer 3v3 soccer season offered by the Yavapai Soccer League Inc. Boys and girls ages 5-18 are eligible with games being played weeknights in Prescott Valley beginning July 16 and running thru Aug. 10. Cost is $20 for current YSL or Prescott AYSO players and $30 for new players. Registration deadline is June 30. Forms are available at the Prescott Valley Parks and Recreation Department, Mountain Valley Splash, the Boys and Girls Club and the Prescott Valley Public Library.

REGISTRATION IS ALSO BEING ACCEPTED for the fall Recreation season which begins Sept. 8 (no tryouts required). Cost is $45 with additional family members being $40 each. If registered by Aug. 20 you can avoid a $5 late fee. Coaches, referees and volunteers are needed in all age groups and areas. Tryouts for the Yavapai Soccer League Select teams will take place July 21 and Aug. 4 at Mountain Valley Park with registration being $55 and additional costs for travel. YSL will hold its annual meeting on June 18 beginning at 7 p.m. at the PV Civic Center. For more information on YSL call 772-7274.

SOCCER CAMP REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION FOR THE 13TH ANNUAL Roughrider Soccer Camp is underway. The two-day camps will take place for boys and girls at Ken Lindley Field. The camps will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 18-21 for ages 8-13 and June 25-28 for ages 14-17. Camp directors include Yavapai College soccer coaches Mike Pantalione and Hugh Bell. ALUMNI BASEBALL WEEKEND FOR YC

THE YAVAPAI COLLEGE BASEBALL PROGRAM will be hosting an alumni weekend Oct. 26-27, 2001. Former coaches Gary Ward, Rod Soesbe, Dave Dangler and Nino Giarratano will be in attendance. Activities will include: golf outing, alumni games and a banquet/auction with keynote speaker Mike Hargrove, the manager of the Baltimore Orioles. ROUGHRIDER BASKETBALL SUMMER SCHOOL

HEAD COACHES DOLPH CARROLL AND BRAD CLIFFORD from Yavapai College, as well as Rich Geske from Prescott High, will be conducting the Roughrider Basketball Summer School on June 18-21 at Mile High Middle School. Ages 6-8 will attend from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; ages 9-11 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.; ages 12-15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Cost per camper is $50. MIXED DOUBLES REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION IS UNDER WAY for the Mixed Doubles USA local tennis competition. Players ages 19 and up are eligible to join. Deadline for teams is June 22, but it only takes one player to enter his or her name through telephone or computer. First week of play is July 9-15.
