Amelia Flores Rubio
Amelia Flores Rubio, 63, a life-long Prescott resident, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at the University Medical Center in Tucson.
She was born Oct. 13, 1937, in Prescott, to Marcelino and Pascuala Flores.
Mrs. Rubio worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Prescott for many years. She enjoyed cooking, and was known by her family and friends as a caring and helpful person.
Surviving are her daughters, Mona Earl of Port Angeles, Wash., and Judy Gonzales of Prescott; sons, Miguel Rubio and Micheal Flores, both of Prescott, Phillip Rubio of Prescott Valley, and Vince Gonzales and Joe Flores, both of Phoenix; brothers, George Eredia of Prescott and Paul Flores of California; sisters, Tillie Reyes of California and Betty Col'in and Lola Cordova, both of Phoenix; and 16 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Prescott.
Desert Rose Cremation and Burial in South Tucson helped the family with arrangements.
Orland Walter Donner
Orland Walter Donner, 86, of Prescott Valley, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Prescott Valley Samaritan Center.
He was born July 23, 1914, in Vesta, Minn., to Herman and Gunda (Albu) Donner.
Mr. Donner attended public schools in Belview, Minn. He did private construction work and worked as a builder and carpenter for 28 years for the state of Minnesota at the Regional Treatment Center in Willmar, Minn.
He married Bernice Rauschke in 1952 in Olivia, Minn. He also owned and operated a certified tree farm in Perham, Minn., for several years.
Mr. Donner moved to Sunland Village in Mesa in 1977, where he worked on the security patrol for several years. He moved to Prescott Valley in 1986. Mr. Donner was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Prescott Valley, where he was a council member and served as treasurer from 1986 to 1991.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice; daughters, Vicki Gerdes of Plymouth, Minn., and Gwen Ruchti of Hamel, Minn.; brother, Choncey of Hawich, Minn.; sister, Donna Knebel of Paynesville, Minn.; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley.
