Young craftsmen hone skillls; and students' talents take home prizes

PRESCOTT – Two little pine treasures that helped Prescott High School woodshop students master the art of measuring, cutting and construction have won prizes for their young builders.

Eric Kleinman, 15, took home first place, as well as a palm sander and pliers set, in a roll-top desk organizer contest open to students in instructor Tom Bockman's beginning woodworking classes. Fourteen-year-old Alan Horton came in second, winning an electric screwdriver and open-end wrench set.
