Wayne Allan Stratton
Wayne Allan Stratton, 65, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at his home in Chino Valley.
He was born May 16, 1935, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Wilbur and Dorothy (Calladine) Stratton.
Mr. Stratton married his wife, Joanne, on July 17, 1954, in Los Angeles, Calif. He was the manager of air traffic controllers in Flagstaff before retiring in 1999.
He enjoyed bowling and basketball.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Lynnette Wells of Yucaipa, Calif., Vickie Wallick of Chino Valley and Dianna Iverson of Lompoc, Calif.; son, Eric of Yucaipa, Calif.; brother, William of Woodland Hills, Calif.; sister, Janet McDonald of Salem, Ohio; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunrise Funeral Home. Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Post #6, Prescott.

Stanley G. Garner, M.D.
Stanley G. Garner, M.D., 67, of Prescott, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, in Phoenix.
He was born Jan. 29, 1934, in New York, N.Y.
Dr. Garner was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a psychiatrist in private practice in Miami, Fla., until 1996 when he retired and moved to Prescott.
He was a member of Temple B'rith Shalom Congregation and the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Prescott.
Surviving are his wife, Francine; daughter, Lauren of Phoenix; son, Steven Garner, M.D., of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Temple B'rith Shalom, 2077 Brohner Way, Prescott.

Anthony Walter Stricker
Anthony Walter Stricker, 48, of Chino Valley, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, in Chino Valley.
He was born Aug. 16, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Walter and Mary (Karlinsky) Stricker.
Mr. Stricker served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1972. He moved to Arizona from Iowa in 1984 and to Prescott in 1986. He later moved to Chino Valley.
He was a small-engine mechanic, and enjoyed camping, fishing and playing chess with his son. He was proudest of his grandchild.
Surviving are his parents, of New Berlin, Wis.; son, Tony of Prescott; brother, Craig of Sun Prairie, Wis.; sisters, Monica Peco of Green Bay, Wis., and Kath Torsen of Elgin, Iowa; and one grandchild.
A gathering in tribute to Mr. Stricker's life will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott. Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley.
Marie "Grandma" Griffith
Marie "Grandma" Griffith, 89, of Chino Valley, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, in Prescott.
She was born Dec. 14, 1911, in Elm Springs, Ark., to John and Gertrude (Canup) Walker.
Mrs. Griffith was known as "Grandma," since she loved all who knew her and treated them as family. She enjoyed horseracing and owned and raced horses. She also enjoyed crocheting.
She was proudest of her family.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda Evans of Chino Valley and Peggy Brown of Oregon; sister, Lucille Boston of Fontana, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 58 years, Richard, and sons Bobby and Mickey preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley. Pastor Bruce Montroy of Word of Life Assembly Church, Chino Valley, will officiate.
Private cremation will be at Sunrise Crematory, Prescott Valley.

Florence Genevieve Clark
Florence Genevieve Clark, 89, of Mayer, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, in Mayer.
She was born Dec. 13, 1911, in Buffalo, Ill., to Frank and Daisy Mann.
Mrs. Clark grew up in Bloomington, Ill., where she married her husband, William, on Sept. 26, 1943. They moved to Arizona in 1947.
She graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in education, and taught home economics at Harold W. Smith Elementary School in Glendale.
Mrs. Clark owned and operated a beauty salon in Goodyear. She moved to Mayer three years ago. She was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Phoenix
Surviving is her daughter, Nancy Spain. Preceding her in death was her husband, William.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church Chapel, 1500 W. Maryland Ave., Phoenix.

Ida C. Thrailkill
Ida C. Thrailkill, 82, of Prescott, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, in Victorville, Calif.
She was born May 28, 1918, in Carrier, Okla., to John and Lillie (Mason) Alexander.
Mrs. Thrailkill was known by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
Surviving are her sons, Ray of Victorville, Calif., and Jimmie of Rifle, Colo.; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 53 years, Marvin, preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott.
