Wynnefred L. Chandler

Wynnefred L. Chandler, 67, of Prescott, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.

She was born Dec. 27, 1932, in Berkeley, Calif., to Charles and Fay (McNamar) Lovell.

Mrs. Chandler moved to Tucson from San Jose, Calif., 26 years ago, and to Prescott 10 years ago. She had worked as a secretary for the Bagnall glass company in Prescott.

She enjoyed working with animals, and volunteered as a docent for the Tucson Zoological Society and the Prescott Zoo.

Surviving are her husband, Albert; daughter, Deborah of Tucson; son, Lee of Fremont, Calif.; sister, Laurie Abel of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hampton Funeral Home in Prescott.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 2000 Shepherds Lane, Prescott, with Father Paul Crowell officiating. A reception will follow.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Tucson Zoological Society, 900 S. Randolph Way, Tucson, AZ 85716-5896.

Charles Louis Dandrea

Charles Louis Dandrea, 51, of Mayer, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, in Dewey.

He was born Feb. 10, 1949, in Prescott, to Charles Franklin and Sherrill (Hayes) Dandrea.

Mr. Dandrea worked as a supervisor for the Arizona Department of Transportation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and history.

His family and friends knew him as a hard worker and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Karen; son, James of Prescott Valley; daughter, Sharla of Mayer; mother, Sherrill Olson of Cottonwood; sister, Nadine of Cottonwood; and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his father, Charles, in 1981.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley, with Pastor Thom Ernst of Mayer Community Church officiating. Private cremation was at Sunrise Crematory, Prescott Valley.

The family suggests memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 13141, Prescott, AZ 86204-3141.

Verna S. Nehring

Verna S. Nehring, 81, of Prescott Valley, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000, in Prescott.

She was born Feb. 12, 1919, in Clintonville, Wis., to Alvin and Selma Krueger.

Mrs. Nehring married her husband, Carl, on March 18, 1944, in Clintonville, Wis. They moved to Prescott Valley from Illinois in 1986.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley, and enjoyed sewing, handicrafts and painting ceramics.

Surviving are her husband, Carl; son, Curtis of Redwood City, Calif.; daughter, Susan Blaydes of Riverdale, Ga.; brothers, Arlo Krueger of Marietta, Ga., and Vilas and Gerald Krueger, both of Clintonville, Wis.; sister, Joyce Glidden of Lafayette, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley, with Pastor Dennis Morner officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions to American Parkinson Disease Association, 222 W. Thomas Road, #209, Phoenix, AZ 85013.

Sunrise Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements.

Chris Sherman

Chris Sherman, 33, of Winnemucca, Nev., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born Aug. 12, 1967, in Carlsbad, N.M.

Mr. Sherman moved with his family to Prescott Valley from New Mexico in 1973. He attended Lake Valley School and Bradshaw Mountain High School in Prescott Valley. After moving to Utah, he worked in the mining industry.

Survivors include his sons, James and Breydon, both of Winnemucca, Nev.; daughters, Jacque and Valerie, both of Nebraska; and mother, Pat Sherman of Prescott Valley.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, with the Rev. Gary Simons officiating.
