Melvin K. Abbadusky

Melvin K. Abbadusky, 60, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, in Prescott.

He was born March 23, 1940, in Monmouth, Ill., to Forrest and Elsie Abbadusky.

Mr. Abbadusky was a soldier and loved to play golf, fish and hunt and pick mushrooms in the spring.

Survivors include his wife, Helen; three children; three step children; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Friday at the VA Chapel in Prescott.

The family suggests memorial contributions to VA Hospice, 500 E. Highway 89, Prescott, AZ 86313.

Memory Chapel Mortuary helped the family with arrangements.

Margaret Z. Decker

Margaret Z. Decker, 84, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at a care home in Prescott Valley.

She was born March 3, 1916, in Huntington, W. Va., to Harry Hite and Elizabeth (Weed) Hite.

Mrs. Decker was a registered nurse and worked at the Yavapai Community Hospital for many years and also worked at a number of local care facilities. She retired in 1979.

She was a member of the Prescott Free Methodist Church and also taught Sunday School. She enjoyed repairing dolls, making quilts and knitting.

Surviving are sons, Wilhelm and Edgar, both of Prescott; brothers, Dale, Arden and Avery of Huntington, W. Va.; sisters, Norma Johnson and Jeannete Porter, both of Huntington, W. Va., and Bernice Roberts of Harriman, Tenn.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Hampton Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Vaughn officiating.

Raymond Lee Iles

Raymond Lee Iles, 80, a 38-year resident of Prescott, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at his home in Prescott.

He was born Sept. 15, 1919, in Kansas City, Kan., to Gladys (Kohn) and Charles Iles.

Survivors are his wife, Anita; daughters, Norma Hand of Phoenix, and Kay Baxley of La Quinta, Calif.; sister, Doris Snow of Lawrence, Kan.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Mortuary in Prescott. Graveside services will be at Tempe Double Butte in Tempe.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Shriner Children's Hospital, 552 N. 40th St., Phoenix, AZ 85008.

Winifred B. Risk

Winifred B. "Wini" Risk, 79, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at her home in Prescott.

She was born July 30, 1921, in Providence, R.I., to Harrison and Ruth (Fraizer) Brown.

Mrs. Risk served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She enjoyed traveling, reading and making things for her family. She was always active in her children's school activities and helped raise two of her grandchildren.

Mrs. Risk moved to Prescott from Rowland Heights, Calif., in 1990.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Donald; sons, Craig of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ted of Waldorf, Md., and Kenneth of Prescott; daughters, Betty Gould of North Potomac, Md., and Margaret Bryan of Cincinnati, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren.

Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Memorial's Hospice Family Care, 100 E. Sheldon, Prescott, AZ 86301.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements.
