Leona M. AhYou

Leona M. AhYou, 80, of Prescott Valley, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, in Prescott.

She was born March 4, 1920, in Willsville, Ill., to Joseph and Edith Kowalski.

Mrs. AhYou worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance Co. in Aurora, Ill., for many years before retiring in 1987. She married James AhYou on Feb. 14, 1970, in Eola, Ill., and moved to Prescott Valley from Yorkville, Ill., in 1993.

She was a member of Prescott Valley United Methodist Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary and Ladies of the Moose in Prescott Valley. Her family knew her as a "people" person who enjoyed animals.

Surviving are her husband, James; son, Patrick of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; daughter, Donna VanBarriger of Big Rock, Ill., and Jackie Sweeny of Aurora, Ill.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sunrise Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Private inurnment will be at Redwood Memorial Gardens, Dewey.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Prescott Valley United Methodist Church, 8944 E. Sommer Dr., Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.

Esther Bernice Clark

Esther Bernice Clark, 90, of Irvine, Calif., died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, in Irvine.

She was born July 10, 1910, in Ohio.

Mrs. Clark lived in Prescott Valley for many years until moving to California two years ago.

Surviving are her stepson, Elbert; stepdaughter, Betsy; and sisters, Helen Roberts and Bette Rockhold.

Her husband, Elbert, died in 1986.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Congregational Church, Prescott. Private interment will be in Sedona.

McCormick and Son Mortuary in Laguna Hills, Calif., helped the family with arrangements.

Joshua A. Dorsey-Heyl

Joshua A. Dorsey-Heyl, 11, of Tucson, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, in Tucson.

He was born Nov. 25, 1988, in Prescott. His family knew him as a lovable, heartfelt child who reminded everyone of the meaning of life.

Surviving are his parents, Cassandra and Art Sandoval, and Joe and Pam Heyl of Prescott; brothers, Alan and Anthony; sisters, Ashley, Deseree and Vicky; and grandparents, Juan, Paula, Betty, Josephine and James.

Services were today at Adair Funeral Home, Dodge Chapel, Tucson.

Donna J. Norris

Donna J. Norris, 44, of Phoenix, died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, in Phoenix.

She was born April 5, 1956, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Grady and Rosalie (Marchant) Norris.

She moved to Phoenix from New Mexico in 1961, and worked for Red Roof Inn in Phoenix. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and motorcycling.

Surviving are her son, Donnie Robinson of Phoenix; brother, Bill of Vernal, Utah; sister, Carol Abercrombie of Phoenix; and parents, Rosalie and Frank Corsi of Mayer.

Preceding her in death were her father, in 1971, and two brothers.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sunrise Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Redwood Memorial Gardens, Dewey, with Pastor Tom Ernst officiating.

Naomi Mae Phelps

Naomi Mae Phelps, 78, of Prescott, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, in Prescott.

She was born April 2, 1922, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Mrs. Phelps had lived in Wickenburg for six years before moving to Prescott three years ago. She volunteered with the Wickenburg Chapter of the American Red Cross for many years.

Surviving are her daughter, Leslye Mogford; and a grandchild.

Memorial services were Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Wickenburg.

Hampton Funeral Home helped the family with arrangements.
