William Bray

William E. Bray, 66, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in Prescott Valley.

He was born Nov. 3, 1933, in Richmond, Mo., to James and Lula (Alexander) Bray.

Mr. Bray was a truck driver for 36 years, driving 18-wheeler trucks across the country. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling. He moved to Arizona from Arkansas in 1981 and married his wife Sylvia in 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia of Prescott Valley; daughters, Eda Mae Bray, Carol Jean, Wanda Grissom, Jande Roberts, Diana Lee and Candy Rada; a brother, Jim Bray of Texas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley, with Dr. Kenneth Oster officiating.

The family requests contributions in Mr. Bray's memory to the charity of one's choice.

Roger Harris

Roger Dale Harris, 45, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 30, 1955, in Charleston, W. Va., to Cleo Lee and Nettie Eloise (Collins) Harris.

Mr. Harris moved to Tempe in 1960 from Charleston. He moved to the Humboldt area in 1991, and worked as a roofer. He enjoyed his family, friends, and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta of Humboldt; daughter, Amber of Humboldt; sons, Anthony and Bryan, both of Humboldt; brothers, James of West Virginia, David of Dewey, and Randy of Massachusetts; sisters, Wanda Proctor of Gilbert, Phyllis Williams of Tampa, Fla., Anne Hoppenworth of West Virginia, and Rita Rodriguez of Fallbrook, Calif.

Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley. Memorial services will be at noon Wednesday at the Gateway Baptist Church, 12395 Main St., Humboldt.

Mary Ann Weaver

Mary Ann Weaver, 69, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Scottsdale.

She was born March 30, 1931, in Waterlou, Iowa, to Robert and Frances (Osterkamp) Moore.

Mrs. Weaver worked for Rath Packing Co. in a secretarial position prior to her marriage to Roger Weaver on Aug. 18, 1950. They moved to Scottsdale in May 1954 and then retired to Prescott in 1992.

She was an accomplished artist, a member of the Scottsdale Art League and participated in many juried art shows as well as instructing students in her home. She quilted with the Thumb Butte Quilters and was involved in the church she attended.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Weaver of Prescott; daughters, Brenda Dunn of Phoenix, and Andrea Long of Mesa; sons, Greg of Mesa, and Steve of Pine; sister, Phyllis Wilde of El Segundo, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. July 5 at the First Baptist Church, 148 S. Marina St., Prescott.

Stanley Fredrickson

Stanley A. Fredrickson, 74, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 8, 1926, in Corvallis, Ore., to Albin F. and Marie (Bischoff) Fredrickson.

Mr. Fredrickson was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force in World War II and the Korean War. He had worked for the national medical enterprise in the construction of hospitals overseas. He was a self-employed mechanical engineer and had worked for McDonnell Douglas prior to his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Pat of Prescott; daughters, Kristi of Williams, and Amy Walker of Phoenix; son, Matthew of Palominas, Ariz.; brothers, Lester of Germantown, Md., Emil of Camos, Wash., and Peter of Sequim, Wash., and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive.

The family suggests memorial contributions to American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott, AZ 86301.

Violet "Vi" Hays

Violet "Vi" Hays, 84, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, in Prescott.

She was born May 11, 1916, in St. Paul, Minn., to Nels and Jessie (Novicek) Carlson.

Mrs. Hays and her husband, Paul, lived in Milwaukee and Atlanta before moving to Sun City West in 1979. Mr. Hays died in 1988, and Mrs. Hays moved to Prescott in 1992.

Survivors include daughters, Phyllis Hollenbeck of Prescott, and Lynn Stelle of Cary, N.C., three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory, Prescott Valley.

The family suggests memorials to YRMC Hospice, Restricted Fund, 3262 Windsong, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.

Glenn Johnson

Glenn E. Johnson, 72, of Prescott Valley died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 18, 1928, in Colorado to Glenn E. and Vada (Hudson) Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He collected diecast cars, bow ties and belt buckles.

Survivors include his daughter, Lorraine Soltis of Cleveland, Ohio; son, Bruce of Cleveland, Ohio; half-brother, Claton Johnson; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Graveside services with honors were Tuesday, June 27, at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
