Mary M. Rita Landry

Mary M. Rita Landry, 73, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at her home in Dewey.

She was born Nov. 19, 1926, in Elizabeth City, Va., to Harvey and Evelyn (Barrett) Daugherty.

Mrs. Landry moved from California to Arizona in 1969. She had been a Realtor for 25 years, retiring in October 1999 from Indian Meadows Real Estate in Dewey.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest; daughters, Kathy Stairs, Anne MacKay, Pam Cannon and Cindi Hunt; sons, Cliff Puckett and Kennan Johnston; sisters, Lorie Dighton and Dolly White; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation and services were this morning at Resthaven Park Mortuary, 4310 E. Southern Ave. in Phoenix, which helped the family with arrangements.

Linda Rae Yost

Linda Rae Yost, 57, of Dewey, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in Dewey.

She was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Mobridge, S.D., to Alfred and Adaline (LaPlante) VanDusen.

Mrs. Yost moved to Arizona from Washington in 1969. She worked for 19 years as a secretary for the Arizona State Interscholastic Association in Phoenix.

She was a member of the National Federation of High Schools, Women of the Moose and Elks Lodge in Prescott Valley, and a past member of the American Legion in Glendale.

She married Earl Yost on June 4, 1988, in Yakima, Wash. Mrs. Yost enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, cooking and traveling. Her family knew her for her sense of humor and her love of family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Earl; sons, Bruce of Payson, Skip of Phoenix and Mark of Prescott Valley; daughters, Gina Packard of Phoenix, Christy Carlson of Arcadia, Calif., and Laurel Faught of Vancouver, Wash.; brother, Gary VanDusen of Auburn, Wash.; sisters, Donna Arney of Centralia, Wash., and Billie Washington of Toledo, Wash.; parents, Alfred and Adaline VanDusen of Lacey, Wash.; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Moose Lodge in Prescott Valley.
