Prescott Valley Public Library will be hosting the pre-recorded presentation Master Gardener: Caring for Roses, including:
• Grades of roses
• Types of roses
• Fertilizers
• Pest problems
• Pruning
Presenter Phyllis Jiacalone grew up in the Valley of the Sun. In 2002, she began volunteering at “The Rose Garden” at Mesa Community College caring for more than 9,000 roses. She received her Consulting Rosarian degree from the American Rose Society in 2012 and started teaching classes on roses. In 2013, she moved to Prescott, became a Master Gardener and continues to educate members of our community.
