The ninth annual Cruise-In for Veterans car show will be held Saturday, April 17, in a new location. The free-to-the-public event has been moved to the old Sears parking lot at the Prescott Gateway Mall.

Along with show vehicles, there will also be fire engines, and an old engine fire-up on display. The club encourages all veterans in the area to attend the show and vote for their favorite vehicles. While everyone can enjoy the event, only veterans may vote at this show. Ballots will be available at the information booth. Voting ends at 1 p.m. and trophies will be awarded at 2:30 p.m.

Drawings for prizes will be conducted throughout the day; numbers will be posted. The silent auction will be run all day until 2 p.m., and T-shirts and hats will be available for purchase after 9 a.m.

The owners of the first 400 vehicles entered in the show will receive a goodie bag. Pre-registered vehicles will also receive a T-shirt. If you have an older vehicle and want to have it in the show, there will be day-of registration; however, to pre-register, visit www.cruise4vets.com for the show’s registration form. All show vehicles should be in place by 8 a.m.

All in attendance are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Nations Finest food bank.
