In the face of drought and rapid population growth, how can we ensure a sustainable water supply? What is the best way to protect domestic wells and the base flow of the Verde River? A panel of experts from the Citizens Water Advocacy Group (CWAG) will address the many issues that impact these important questions on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation building, 882 Sunset Avenue, Prescott. Among the topics to be discussed are key water concerns in Legislative District 1 and some legislative options for protecting our groundwater, domestic wells, and the base flow of the Verde River. The panel will provide CWAG’s answers to the five questions discussed at CWAG’s Aug. 4 Legislative District 1 candidate forum, address questions asked by the forum audience, and answer your water questions.
