Dear Readers and Local Businesses, As we all adjust to how COVID-19 has impacted our daily lives, we are faced with tough decisions on how to manage and project how our events are and will be impacted. After consideration, the Daily Courier has decided to postpone our annual Readers’ Choice event. We were excited and optimistic about the opportunity to celebrate our local businesses. During this time of such uncertainty, we feel it is best to allow local companies to focus on their business and families as their #1 priorities. We have received thousands of nominations during our nominating phase- all of these businesses will remain on the future ballot.

Beginning August 15th, we will re-open nominations for a two-week period to ensure all local businesses can are included. During this time we will also include a new category titled “Best Giving & Gracious” this category will allow a highlight of local businesses that donated to the most vulnerable populations or used their business or platform in some way to help our community. August 31st we will open a six week voting period that will end on October 8th. Further details regarding our celebration of the winners will be announced as we move forward.
