After making an emergency landing two miles south of the Arizona Downs horseracing track and east of Fain Road Friday afternoon, Oct. 19, the pilot indicated they had just left the Prescott Airport, lost engine power and could not maintain altitude, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s media coordinator, Dwight D’Evelyn.
