BASIS Schools in Arizona, including BASIS Prescott, is closing its 22 campuses beginning Monday, March 16, because of coronavirus concerns, according to internet and social media posts Saturday morning.
With time to analyze the AZMerit data since the state’s release of the standardized language arts and math scores earlier this month, area district educators, parents and school advocates say they are proud to see students performing competitively against the area’s top scoring charter schools.
The AZMerit score results in language arts and math for 14 tri-city area charter schools showed a strong performance for most of the schools, with BASIS Prescott earning the highest scores that reflected progress from the prior year’s scores.
