Vienna A. Bryan, 96, passed away Jan. 9, 2019, in Prescott, Arizona. She was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Barnesville, Ohio, to James R. and Mary M. Hardesty.
During World War II, Vienna worked as a riveter in Detroit and after the war learned to fly an airplane.
The most important part of her life came after the war when she gave birth to her two daughters, Jan Moses of Bend, Oregon, and Linda Martin of Prescott, Arizona, who survive her, as well as five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Vienna retired from General Telephone Company, also working at the Water Department as well as the College in Lake Havasu City for 12 years, retiring at age 82. Vienna always said she was grateful for her long life despite the ups and downs. She enjoyed puzzles, books, friends, and said we need to laugh once each day. Finally, as Lawrence Welk always said, “Keep a song in your heart.”
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary. Please visit www.heritagemortuary.com to sign Vienna’s online guestbook.
